CILICIA. Diocaesarea. Philip I, 244-249. Hexassarion (Orichalcum, 38 mm, 23.49 g, 1 h). AYT K M IOYΛIOC ΦΙΛΙΠΠOC CЄB Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. AΔΡΙANΩN ΔΙΟΚЄCAPЄΩΝ MHTP [KЄ]NN The city-goddess seated right, facing Tyche standing front, head to left, holding rudder in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. SNG Levante 676 var., SNG Paris 880-882 var. and Ziegler 391-3 var. (all with differing reverse legend arrangement). A large and impressive issue. Minor cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.
